This historic railway bridge is famously recognised as the route for the Hogwarts Express.

VICTORIA STREET, EDINBURGH
Known for its colourful buildings, this street is generally considered the inspiration for Diagon Alley.

GREYFRIARS KIRKYARD, EDINBURGH
Fans often visit the grave of Tom Riddle here; the cemetery is noted for providing inspiration for the franchise.

GLENCOE
This area contains the filming site for Hagrid’s Hut.

JACOBITE MUSEUM, GLENFINNAN
This museum houses a collection of memorabilia from the film franchise, including props and costumes.

OUTLANDER TOUR LOCATIONS

HIGHLAND FOLK MUSEUM, NEWTONMORE
This open-air museum features a reconstructed 1700s thatched Highland township similar to those seen on screen. It specifically appears in Season 1 during Claire and Jamie's travels.

DOUNE CASTLE
This stronghold served as the fictional home of clan Mckenzie, where you can hear all about the filming of Outlander with a virtual audio guide from Sam Heughan himself.

LINLITHGOW PALACE
Fans of the show recognise these ruins as the setting for Wentworth Prison, where Jamie was held and tortured by Black Jack Randall.

BLACKNESS CASTLE
This fortress has portrayed both Fort William and Inverness Jail in the series.
